Glistening late 1930s - early 40s champagne lamé gown from Salon Moderne ( Saks Fifth Avenue's couture and made to order boutique that was run by Sophie Gimbel). Features a gathered sweetheart neckline, scooped back, attached self fabric belt, interior grosgrain waist stay and a full skirt with gathering at the sides. Metal bell zipper at the side. Mesh at hem for structure. Hand finishing throughout. Absolutely stunning in person!
- Size small -
Bust: 34" - 36"
Waist: 28"
Bodice: 15.5"
Hips: Full
Length: 57"
- Some faint staining throughout, most notable at the front of the skirt. Mostly rust colored, a blueish streak at the back and a couple smaller darker rust colored spots. I find it to be more subtle in person due to the sheen of the lamé.
- Two holes at the hemline backed by the mesh
- Break in mesh, mesh in coming unattached at the upper edge. Does not effect wear.
- Faint staining on bodice lining
- belt coming untacked in places, does not effect wear
