Exceptional late 1910s wedding gown with a chiffon overlay entirely covered in faux pearls and white seed beads in a Greek key motif. Lace inserts at collar. High side slits reveal the champagne silk lining. Pullover style. Truly art-to-wear.
Size Extra Small / Small -
Bust: 38"
Drop Waist: 37" (hits at the hip)
Bodice: 19.5" to top of pearl band
Length: 53"
Condition: Remarkable! Excellent! To be handled and worn with care. This dress is over 100 years old, by nature delicate. Store flat, preferable in an archival box with acid free tissue paper. I think this could be worn with care for a wedding ceremony / photos but you will most likely want to have a different reception dress to dance in!
- Armpits have been reinforced and repaired by a skilled seamstress!
- Fabric is starting to wear at the lining on the inside of the straps, you may wish to have this reinforced.
- Some minor bead loss
- A few faint water marks and faint stains on the silk lining. Not visible when wearing.
