Early 1950s muted rainbow stripe lounge jacket by Evelyn Pearson. Features padded shoulders, patch pockets and light blue buttons. Soft 100% cotton.
While this style is so evocative of 1940s lounge fashion, Evelyn Pearson was founded in 1950 when the namesake purchased the loungewear division of Textron where she was formerly the general manager of the negligee department. This piece is most likely from 1950-1951 and still has the lovely elements that we most associate with 1940s fashion.
